Your recipes belong to you — not a social network, not a cookbook publisher. hammhamm.app gives you a private place to collect recipes from all sources: imported from websites, scanned via photo, or entered manually.
You can sort recipes into your own groups — by category, season, occasion, or however makes sense to you. Favorites can be marked and are always quickly findable. Whether 10 or 1,000 recipes: the collection stays organized.

Automatic nutrition analysis
The heart of hammhamm.app is automatic nutrition calculation. As soon as you add a recipe, the app matches the ingredients against the USDA FoodData Central database and OpenFoodFacts — two of the most comprehensive nutrition databases in the world.
The result: calories, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates are calculated per serving — without you having to look anything up or enter it manually. The calculation runs fully automatically in the background as soon as a recipe is imported or saved.
This makes hammhamm.app especially useful if you want to lose weight, gain weight, or simply eat more mindfully. You see at a glance how much energy a meal provides — and can choose your recipes accordingly.

For us, privacy isn't a footnote but an architectural decision. Your data lives on servers in Germany, and for AI, analytics and image generation we deliberately rely on European providers instead of US hyperscalers.

Yes. hammhamm.app is fully GDPR-compliant. Your recipes and health data are not shared with third parties and not used for advertising. Weight and calorie data is only stored with your explicit consent — and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Where is my data stored?
On Hetzner servers in Germany. The services we use for AI processing, image generation, e-mail and analytics are located in the EU as well: Hetzner and Black Forest Labs (Germany), Mistral AI and Mailjet (France), Pirsch Analytics (EU). No personal data is passed on.
What can the shopping list do?
